Lexus is the luxury vehicle division of Japanese automaker Toyota and it is world-known for its design. Stereoscape worked together with Lexus in Helsinki Design week 2015 where Lexus presented the exhibition “Japanese Design Revisited by Lexus”. The aim of the co-operation was to create an engaging way to tell the design story of Lexus whose roots are in Japanese aesthetics and handicraft traditions.
To highlight the features and uniqueness of Lexus design, Stereoscape delivered a 3.5 m x 2.6 m rear projection video wall and produced video content to showcase the design story of Lexus. The video content was edited from two existing brand videos. The new video content described the complete process of designing a car, starting from a designer’s initial sketch and then bringing that to life in the virtual world.
Helsinki Design Week is the largest design festival in the Nordic countries, bringing together international top leaders and journalists in the design field as well as design enthusiasts. The aesthetically pleasing and powerful content on the impressive video wall was an engaging way to attract the demanding audience and create a deeper understanding of how Lexus is designing for the future.
